Start Time: 9.30 registration for a 10am start

Orsett Hall, Thurrock

Organised by: Inspire East

You are invitied to the first of our Learning events that the Regional Empowerment Partnership for the East of England is organising around the region.  Following on from the Empowerment Roadshows in March we have developed an exciting and interactive programme that will provide you with plenty of networking opportunities on current community engagement and empowerment issues.

We have confirmed a local theatre group who will be involved in the day and will provide you with an insight of various issues around community empowerment and democracy.  The various topics that will be explored throughout the day include:

  • The role of Members in Empowerment
  • The Business Case for Community Empowerment
  • Social Networking and Communications
  • Engaging 'hard to hear' members of the community (e.g. young people, people with disabilities and other groups)
  • The work of the two Empowering Authorities in the East of England

Please find attached the Invitation and Programme for more information and the learning objectives for the day.
