Jacob Tompkins is Director of Waterwise, an NGO committed to promoting sustainable and practical approaches to water efficiency. Waterwise builds on current knowledge, fosters collaboration, and facilitates and disseminates best practice.
Jacob's background is in hydrogeology at Imperial College London. He has previously worked as an environmental adviser to the National Farmers' Union and as a water resources and water efficiency specialist at Water UK. Jacob has sat on a number of European Commission working groups on issues ranging from drought planning to groundwater protection, and spent five years as the UK representative on the Eureau (pan-European water industry boady) Drinking Water Commission. He has also had the pleasure of being a judge in the Environment Agency's Water efficiency Awards.
