Inspire East works with and through a wide range of organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. Below some examples of how we work with other organisation are highlighted. This list is not exhaustive, but should give you a flavour of the different types of work we are involved in. If you would like to know how we work with other organisations then please Contact us.
Homes & Communities Academy (HCA)
We work with HCA to ensure that we have enough people with the skills and knowledge required to transform local communities into attractive, prosperous places that meet the needs of citizens for generations to come. An example of a project which we are delivering for HCA in this region is the Learning Laboratory project in the Thames Gateway. This project is looking at the skills needed to deliver a project in that area. We work with ASC and the other Regional Centres of Excellence to promote and influence the sustainable communities skills agenda. Inspire East, the other Regional Centres of Excellence and the HCA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen joint working arrangements. The HCA's new Business Plan for 2007/08 is now available for you to download. Please follow the link under our Related Documents on the right.
Commission for the Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE)
On our design and built environment activities we work closely with CABE. The Regional Design Action Manager works closely with the CABE team. The regional Design Review Panel and the Enabling Service complements the national panels run by CABE. We received some funding from CABE to deliver projects including the Design and Historic Environment Champions and training in design quality.
English Heritage
We work with English Heritage in the development of the Design and Historic Environment Champions Network. We are delivering work for them through a grant to develop a guide on the development and management of the public realm.
Funding East
We are supporting the development of Funding East as region wide network of funding advisers and funders who provide support to community projects. Our role has included the development of a web space for the network as part of our site.
Local Authorities
In working with Local Authorities our relationship is principally the provision of information and advice, for example through the website and our support services.
Local Delivery Vehicles
Our relationship with the LDVs in the region is on an individual basis through information and advice. Working with GO East and English Partnerships have created a network for the LDVs in the region. The network is to share experiences and for joint skills development.
Shape Cambridge
We work with Shape in a number of ways, including the co-ordination of the Design and Historic Environment Champions Network. We have funded Shape to deliver some projects on our behalf. This has included the ‘How to engage your community’ toolkit and training for councillors on urban design.
