As part of the Regional Empowerment Partnership, Inspire East are coordinating a new programme of work called Targeted Support, to improve empowerment and participation in the region.  The programme is funded through the Community Development Foundation.

The Local Authorities selected to receive support are listed below, based on NI4 Place Survey results:

• Central Bedfordshire Council
• Essex County Council
• Hertfordshire County Council
• Thurrock Council 
• Southend on Sea Borough Council
• Suffolk County Council

The programme is divided into five stages:

1. Diagnostic work with each of the 6 Local Authorities using the National Empowering Authorities Framework, identifying appropriate interventions for the improvement of empowerment and participation
2. Delivery of recommended interventions
3. Networking meetings for sharing ideas and good practice
4. End of programme event to showcase interventions and disseminate good practice
5. Evaluation of the programme.
